Tips for Producing Content

The most important aspect of producing content is.. well.. to actually PRODUCE CONTENT.
Don’t give up.
Consistency is key.
You must be committed.
Trust me, I know it can be difficult.
I know it can feel unrewarding at times – especially at the beginning. I know.
But here’s the trick:
If you are truly seeking out to provide value to others, all you need is one person to have seen your content for it to not have been in vain.
And, at that point, your content has made a difference, and there will be a ripple effect.
So, how exactly should you produce content?
Let’s delve in!
1. Engage your audience through at least one of these methods:
Entertain, Educate, or Equip.
It’s the reason meme pages work.
It’s the reason movies are successful.
It’s the reason for so many things throughout life.
People just absolutely love to be entertained!!
If they can find entertainment through the content you produce, you can be assured that people will continue to come back.
People love to learn.
If you become the person who provides value in the form of education, people will see that you are not only there to help them but that you are actually an authority of that field!
What better way to show people that you are capable of providing a service with them than proving you have the knowledge to do so?
If you are providing people with the tools to be successful, you’ll find that people will follow you and like you and trust you and more.
Think about it.
If you are interested in marketing, and someone is providing the exact formula to be successful as a marketer.. wouldn’t you follow them?
Equip people with the tools to do things themselves.
Trust that some of those people will just prefer to have you do them instead.
2. Stay consistent with your content by producing ahead of time, strategizing, and making content for the week (or two) ahead.
Creating content can be arduous sometimes – I know that, you know that, anyone who has ever produced content anywhere knows that.
It’s okay to admit. We can be candid here. Safe Space.
Yet, if you schedule your content and create ahead of time, you will find that this task can actually be much more enjoyable!
Creating content might even become your new favorite thing!!
Above all, stay consistent.
3. This is tough work. Use tools.
Using tools that will make your content production easier is of the essence.
One of the greatest specialties of humans is to use tools.
It’s one of the few things that separates us from the rest of the evolutionary web.
When an animal uses tools, we measure it as an incredible sense of intelligence.
Don’t forget to use tools.
Let yourself live an easier life, and enjoy content production more. Guaranteed.
4. Be generous with your knowledge.
Be conservative with your time.
Alright this is one of the most difficult lessons I’ve ever learned.
Not that I would be stingy with my knowledge, but I was always afraid that if I gave too much knowledge away, people would no longer need me.
It’s where I derived my value from.
And, instead, I was always willing to give people my time without a blink of the eye.
And, of course, people were often taking advantage of that fact.
Then, one day, I came to this realization with the help of some book I can’t recall
(probably something by Albert Camus).
And, I switched it!
I gave my knowledge away like it was air.
And, I became incredibly conservative of who I was willing to give my time to.
Boy, what a change!
Do this, and you will see that people value you a whole lot more.
They consider you intelligent while valuing any time they get with you.
That’s how it should be.
Let your content reflect that by giving away all of your knowledge and then making a living off of your limited time.
