What is Conscious Marketing? Pt 1

“If you help enough people get what they want,
you will get what you want”
– Zig Zigler

I would love to say, as I’m sure you would, that all of my intentions are always altruistic.

However, here at Conscio, we believe in authenticity.

Authentically speaking, as much as I would love to sincerely be altruistic about every single intention, I would say that my intentions are better considered as conscious.

That’s what it’s all about.

Being conscious.

Be conscious about what you do.

Be conscious about what others do.

Be conscious about what you do in accordance to what others do.

In this case, you need to help others before you help yourself. Helping others is to help yourself.

Some believe there is but one consciousness. Therefore, to love another is to love yourself.

Being conscious is our priority.

Providing conscious marketing is our service to others.

Working with conscious businesses is our return.

So, what exactly is conscious marketing?

Let’s delve in!

1. Always keep the focus on the client or the patron and prioritize their needs.

In order to market consciously, you must always keep your focus on the ones using your service or consuming your goods.

They are the ones that provide your livelihood.

They are the ones that deserve the utmost respect and consideration as you operate.

By keeping immense focus on them, you are ensuring that you are not thinking about yourself.

Instead, you are seeking out ways to improve lives.

2. Your main goal should be to improve the lives of others – somehow, someway.

Improving lives is what it’s all about.
If you want to be a conscious business and consciously market to others, you must start with consciously caring about others.
You must genuinely, and authentically, want to help improve the lives of others.
It starts here.
Without this mindset, you are missing the whole concept of conscious marketing.
You are missing the best aspect of being able to be conscious – the power of empathy.
Don’t take it for granted.
Don’t waste the ability bestowed upon you.

3. Design your marketing efforts to reflect solutions to problems

If you take the time to find out the pain points of your audience, you can then find the solutions to provide relief to them too.
People are very quick to tell you what issues they face.
What inhibits their lives from being the best that it can be.
People, no matter who they are, always seek to find ways to live better lives.
What better role could you possibly serve than to be the way they get to achieve that?
Be the solution to their problems. Eventually, they’ll seek you out.

4. Always provide value before asking for anything.

As mentioned before, it’s okay to want something.
Even the most altruistic person can still hope for something to gain when they are helping provide for others.
However, you absolutely, without a doubt, 100%, no question about it, MUST provide value first.
Be the one who initiates this relationship.
This beautiful, mutually beneficial relationship.
In providing value first, you can hope (not expect) value to be returned.
And that is the essence of conscious marketing.
To think consciously.
To act consciously.
To market yourself consciously.

Doing these things will provide a foundation for you to be a conscious member of society.

Best of all, the more people who do this, the greater consciousness we can expect in our society.
