Who we are
Conscio Marketing is run by Curran Walia, doing business as Conscio Marketing, in Austin, Texas (“Conscio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through ConscioMarketing.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
If you have a question about your information, email Curran@ConscioMarketing.com. A person reads every message.
The short version
- We collect what you choose to give us, plus basic information about how you use the site.
- We use it to reply to you, deliver what you buy, run the business, and improve our marketing.
- We never sell your personal information for money.
- You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
Information you give us
- When you send us a message. Our inquiry form asks for your name, email address, business or organization, phone number (optional), what you are looking for, and your message.
- When you book a call. Calls are booked through Google Calendar’s booking page, which collects your name, email address, and anything you add to the booking.
- When you buy the Kit. We collect your name, email address, billing address, the business name your Kit license is issued to, and your order details. Payment details go straight to our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you join our email list or email us. We keep your email address, your name if you give it, and the messages you send.
- When you become a client. We collect the information needed to deliver our services, as described in your service agreement.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting server, cookies, and similar tools collect technical information. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
When you place an order, our store records how you found us (for example, the referring website or campaign link). This helps us understand which marketing works.
How we use your information
- To reply to your messages and hold the calls you book
- To prepare and send proposals
- To process orders, deliver Kit downloads, and issue your Kit license
- To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service and Kit License
- To send emails about your order, your account, or our work together
- To send our newsletter and marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
- To understand how people use the site and improve it
- To measure our advertising
- To keep business, tax, and accounting records and to meet our legal obligations
Legal bases (for visitors in the UK and European Economic Area)
We process your information when it is needed to perform a contract with you (such as delivering the Kit), when we have a legitimate interest that your rights don’t override (such as replying to inquiries and improving the site), when you have given consent (which you can withdraw at any time), or when the law requires it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them for these purposes:
- Essential: to keep the site, cart, checkout, and logins working, and to help our payment processor prevent fraud.
- Analytics: Google Analytics helps us understand which pages people visit and how they found us.
- Advertising: the Meta Pixel helps us measure ads we run on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people likely to find them useful.
- Order attribution: our store notes how you arrived at the site so we can see which marketing leads to sales.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like checkout, may not work without essential cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and you can manage ads from Meta in your Meta ad preferences. There is no common standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, so the site does not respond to them.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- DreamHost, which hosts the website
- Google, for business email, calendar booking, and website analytics
- Stripe, which processes payments. If you choose Link, Amazon Pay, Klarna, or Affirm at checkout, that provider also receives your information under its own privacy policy, and Klarna or Affirm may check your eligibility for financing.
- MailerLite, which sends our newsletter and marketing emails
- Meta, for measuring our advertising
- Our accountant, lawyer, or other professional advisers, when needed
We may also use AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to help us prepare replies, proposals, and client work. We share only what a task needs.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a change in the business, such as moving the business into a company we own. We never sell your personal information for money.
How long we keep information
- Messages and inquiries: up to three years after our last contact
- Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually seven years
- Kit license records: for as long as the license is in effect, so we can confirm who holds it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe, plus a record of the unsubscribe so we don’t email you again
- Analytics data: according to Google Analytics retention settings, up to 14 months
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Receive your information in a portable format
- Object to or limit certain uses, and withdraw consent you have given
- Opt out of marketing emails, using the unsubscribe link in any of them
To make a request, email Curran@ConscioMarketing.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We will respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will answer the appeal within 60 days. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site. Card payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the payment industry’s security standard. No website is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Where information is stored
We are based in the United States, and our service providers mainly store information in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, such as Google’s booking page and our payment providers. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. We will change the date at the top of this page, and we will tell customers by email about any significant change.
